Domsjöskolan is hiring a Leisure Teacher

Domsjöskolan is a F-6 school with approximately 330 students and 45 staff members on the outskirts of Örnsköldsvik, featuring an inviting outdoor environment close to forest and nature. Job Responsibilities

As a leisure teacher at Domsjöskolan, you will play a central role in our students' daily lives and development. You will be responsible for creating a safe and stimulating environment where children can grow and thrive. Your engagement is crucial in inspiring students towards learning and creative expression. In your role, you will:

  • Plan and implement activities that promote learning and social interaction.
  • Work closely with both students and parents to foster good communication and collaboration for the children's best interests.
  • Contribute to an inclusive and positive atmosphere where all children feel seen and appreciated.
  • Encourage and support children's individual interests and strengths through tailored activities.
  • Participate in the school's development work and collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve our operations.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children and wants to help shape their leisure time in a meaningful way.

The position also includes teaching physical education in one grade during the school day.

Qualifications

For the role of leisure teacher at Domsjöskolan, you need to have the following qualifications:

  • Qualification to teach in leisure centers.
  • Experience working with children aged 6-12 years is an advantage.
  • A creative and proactive person who can inspire children to learn and play.
  • Ability to create a safe and stimulating environment for all children.
  • Good collaboration skills and a positive attitude towards colleagues, children, and parents.
  • Ability to adapt your teaching and activities to the individual needs and interests of the children.
