SiS Youth Home Vemyra, located outside Sollefteå, receives school-age boys up to 16 years old with psychosocial problems as well as criminal behavior and substance abuse.
Job Description
As a teacher with us, you will teach in small groups with extra adaptations based on each student's needs. We have our students for shorter or longer periods, and it is important to maintain a positive attitude and belief in each individual's potential for development. As a substitute teacher, we prefer that you are studying to become a teacher or have experience teaching grades 7-9 and high school. You will collaborate with and receive support from other professional groups such as career counselors, treatment secretaries, treatment pedagogues, and psychologists. You should be attracted to the opportunity to teach and build trusting pedagogical relationships in smaller teaching groups consisting of students with psychosocial issues and criminal behavior. It is important that you can identify and meet the student's needs with high realistic expectations and motivate and guide the student towards their goals. We appreciate that you are unpretentious, flexible, can set and maintain boundaries in a respectful manner, and believe that all students can find a path to education and work.
Qualifications
