Job Advertisement: Teacher in Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language

Örnsköldsvik High School has two school buildings, Park School and Nolaskolan.

We have a total of over 1800 students enrolled in five college preparatory programs and ten vocational programs, as well as introductory programs and adapted upper secondary school. Örnsköldsvik High School is designated as a training school, which means that VFU students are a regular feature in the school.

We are now looking for someone who can consider working with us until summer, at 50-100% as a teacher in Swedish and Swedish as a second language.

Responsibilities

You will teach Swedish and Swedish as a second language. Your work includes teaching, planning, documentation, and communication with students and guardians. The assignment also involves participating in collaborative work with subject and work teams.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed teacher at the upper secondary level with subject qualifications in Swedish and Swedish as a second language. We are also interested in those studying to become teachers who can consider working extra with us during their studies or those with other qualifications.

We seek someone who enjoys being challenged and thinking innovatively, who sees differences and diversity as a foundation for learning and development. You are a secure adult and a clear leader in the classroom. Being a role model and creating a good atmosphere in the student group and work team is a given for you.

We would like you to have experience leading group processes, the ability to create structure, and to adapt teaching based on the needs of the group and individuals. You are attentive, responsible, engaged, and creative.
