Älvstrandens Preschool: Here begins a lifelong learning – with secure and participative children

Älvstrandens Preschool is divided into 4 houses, surrounded by pines and bilberry shrubs in the heart of the Arena area in Sörberge. The outdoor environment is unique, with plenty of space for children's play, movement, development, and learning. In the houses, children are divided into smaller groups for most of the day.

At the preschool, we place great importance on a safe and inviting environment so that education forms a whole of care, development, and learning.

Children should be given opportunities to develop knowledge, skills, and abilities through play, exploration, interaction, and teaching.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a licensed preschool teacher
• Is well acquainted with the preschool's mission according to the curriculum, the Education Act, and current governing documents
• Has the ability to organize and drive pedagogical development work
• Is engaged, curious, and happy to share experiences and knowledge
• Has a professional approach to children, colleagues, and guardians
• Sees the value in collegial learning
• Is confident in pedagogical documentation and systematic quality work
• Has good leadership qualities, is flexible, and collaborative
• Is open to changes that develop children's learning and our organization
• Has good communication skills in speech and writing
