Description

Timrå Kulturskola is looking for a temporary singing teacher/singing pedagogue for 75% during the spring term of 2026. You have a degree as a singing teacher or other education/experience that the employer finds equivalent. You should be able to work both independently and in collaboration with others, be creative, constructive, and initiative-taking, and have a strong commitment to children/youth. As a singing teacher at the cultural school, you primarily teach children and youth aged 6 to 18 years both individually and in groups. The teaching takes place at the municipality's 9 primary schools as well as in our own facilities at the cultural school. You are also expected to participate in APT, staff, and operational meetings and contribute to the cultural school's development work.

As this position is a temporary replacement for an ongoing sick leave, the content of the position will change over time.

Responsibilities

The position includes teaching the cultural school's singing students both during the day and in the evening according to an already established schedule. You are expected to teach, plan, and be responsible for the students' singing education. You are expected to independently and in collaboration with other teachers drive projects that benefit our students. The position also involves outreach activities and open activities. The cultural school presents several performances each year where students play an important role, and you are expected to participate.

The opportunity to teach in other cultural expressions or instruments is a merit. The position is scheduled for 5 working days. Since the position involves moving between the municipality's various schools, a B driver's license and access to a car are required. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Qualifications

• You have good experience in teaching singing.
• You have a pedagogical education or other education/experience in the subject of singing that the employer finds equivalent.
• You have a professional approach to students, guardians, and colleagues.
• You are independent, flexible, have good communication skills, and a good ability to collaborate.
• You are open to change and contribute to the development of the organization.
• You have good leadership skills and experience in leading both groups and individuals in singing.
• You have a strong commitment to culture, children, and youth.
• Great importance will be placed on personal suitability, based on reference checks.

Conditions

A B driver's license and car, as well as a valid extract from the criminal record for work with children and youth in schools, are requirements for employment.

Scope: employment corresponding to approximately 75%
