Broskolan is beautifully situated in Svedjeholmen, in the southwestern part of Örnsköldsvik. The school is an independent primary school with a confessional Christian orientation, covering grades F-9, after-school care, and two preschool sections. The school has approximately 140 students in mixed classes. In addition to pedagogical staff, the school offers functions such as school administration, student health services, kitchen, cleaning, and maintenance.

During the spring semester of 2018, Broskolan worked on developing a pedagogy aimed at increasing students' physical well-being, participation, and results. This school development work will continue to be refined for the benefit of both students and educators regarding teaching and education.

In your role as a Crafts Teacher at Broskolan, we want you to:

• Conduct teaching and assessment in the subject of crafts (woodwork and metalwork) from grades 3-7.
• Stay updated with current research and wish to develop crafts teaching together with students and colleagues, sharing your experiences and, through a pedagogically challenging approach, supporting and developing everyone's teaching.
• Work to develop teaching so that it is based on scientific grounds and proven experience.
• Have a versatile teaching style with a variation of teaching methods, challenges, and adaptations based on each student's prerequisites.
• Work with student influence in your teaching in such a way that students can develop and own their learning process, providing feedback that moves the student forward in their learning.
• Have a clear student focus in your teacher role in the work with teaching and assessment.
• Can create a safe and permissive climate in the classroom through clear structure.
• Can build good relationships through curiosity and trust towards students and colleagues.
• Have high expectations and confidence in students' abilities, as well as an encouraging and supportive approach.
• You should share our Christian worldview.

As part of the duties as a crafts teacher at Broskolan, we want you to conduct teaching in woodwork and metalwork from grades 3-7.

The position is available from the start of the autumn semester 2025 or later.
