Our Operations

The Intermediate Care Unit (IMA) belongs to the field of medicine. The unit consists of 5 care places and is the hospital's highest level of care. This means that the unit has the capacity to care for circulatory failure and advanced airway treatment.

Patients with a wide range of diagnoses, primarily within medical specialties, are cared for in the unit. Some outpatient activities occur, including planned electrical conversions on a regular basis.

The pace is varied, and at times the unit can have a high turnover of patients. Unit-specific treatments include NIV and Optiflow. All care places are equipped with monitoring monitors. The nurses in the unit are part of the hospital's alarm chain, and we can, for short periods, manage ventilator care while waiting for transport to a higher level of care. Those of us who work here are a mix of very experienced nurses and nursing assistants, as well as some younger and newer colleagues. We are a small staff group of about 30 employees, which makes our unit a personal and pleasant workplace.

Your Mission

As a nursing assistant, you work in all parts of the unit and in teams with other staff around the patient. Other usual tasks for nursing assistants in an intermediate care unit apply. Orientation is adapted to your previous experiences.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant with a few years in the profession, with experience working in emergency care/inpatient care. You should enjoy a varied pace and working with many different diagnoses. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.

We Offer

We offer a permanent full-time position, with start date by agreement. We have individual schedules and a working time model that includes reduced working hours and enhanced on-call pay; working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. A probationary period may be applied.

In addition to your workplace-specific introduction, you will also participate in our extensive introduction week for new employees, KULE - Clinical Education Hospital in Enköping, where we offer an interprofessional setup. Here, you will meet and collaborate with colleagues from several different professional categories. For newly graduated nurses, we also offer enhanced introduction for an additional three months. This includes reflective professional supervision as well as shadowing and coaching from our clinical adjunct. You will also participate in practical training at our KTC (clinical training center), a safe and supportive environment to practice and develop your skills.
