We are looking for personal assistants for a young woman with ALS in Jönköping.

About the Assignment

Our client is a young woman living with ALS. She lives in a villa in Jönköping with her husband and leads a life centered around closeness, dignity, and making the most of everyday life.

She has previously lived an active life filled with climbing, travel, and adventures, and although her body now sets limits, her joy for life and strong will remain. She appreciates relationships and small joys in everyday life and values continuing to live her way.

As a personal assistant, you will be her support in daily life. You will assist with personal care, medication, and practical tasks at home. She manages her assistance herself, which means you need to be adaptable, empathetic, and secure. You will be her extended arms and legs – but also a present and respectful fellow human being.

We Are Looking for Someone Who

is a calm and stable person with a warm and secure presence. You have a good sense of humor and enjoy creating a positive atmosphere around you. With your attentiveness and ability to read situations, you know when it’s time to step forward and when it’s more important to be still and present. You are flexible, respectful, and secure in yourself, and have no problem adapting to the needs and pace of others.

Since our client is a young woman, we prefer female applicants to create the greatest possible security and comfort in daily life.

It is also important that you are not allergic to pets, as there is a dog in the home.

Experience in care work or knowledge of PEG, ventilators, and cough machines is a plus, but not a requirement. We place the greatest emphasis on your personal qualities and how you and our client work together.
