Welcome to apply for a summer position with us at the Neurology Clinic in Falun. We are Dalarna's specialist clinic for patients with neurological diseases and we fulfill a county function for the care of patients with these diseases. The largest diagnostic groups we care for are MS, Parkinson's, and Epilepsy.

We are now looking for a colleague primarily for our reception this summer. The reception is the patients' first contact with the clinic when they come to us, so we are looking for someone who is cheerful, positive, service-oriented, and enjoys working with people. Responsibilities include checking in patients and collecting payments when they register at the reception, and you will also contribute to the usual flow of everyday tasks at the clinic. Other responsibilities for the assistant nurse at the Neurology Clinic include various types of sampling and checks, as well as assisting our doctors, with some administrative tasks also included in the role. You will be offered training with an experienced colleague.

Requirements:

• You have a degree from the nursing and care program or equivalent relevant education.

Preferred:

• Work experience, preferably with experience from clinic work, but not necessarily.

Information about the job title

As of July 1, 2023, the title of assistant nurse is a protected job title (https://legitimation.socialstyrelsen.se/underskoterska-blir-en-skyddad-yrkestitel/). This means that you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title of assistant nurse in healthcare and social services.

You can apply for the certificate starting July 1, 2023. If you do not have a certificate, you can continue to work in healthcare and social services, but with a different title than assistant nurse. For those offered a job with us in Region Dalarna after July 1, this means that the title in your employment contract will be Care Assistant until you can present your certificate. If you had a permanent position with the title of assistant nurse when the new regulations came into effect on July 1, 2023, you can continue to use the title of assistant nurse for 10 years. You can keep the title even if you change workplaces/employers after July 1. After that, you will need a certificate of protected job title to use the title of assistant nurse.
