The Diabetes-Endocrinology Clinic at Falu Hospital provides specialized outpatient care for patients with endocrine diseases. The largest patient group consists of over 1000 individuals with diabetes, the majority of whom have type 1 diabetes. The other endocrine conditions that the Diabetes-Endocrinology Clinic is responsible for are numerous, with the largest disease groups being thyroid, adrenal, and pituitary disorders. The clinic employs secretaries, nursing assistants, foot therapists, endocrinology nurses, diabetes nurses, and doctors. We also collaborate with a dietitian. The clinic is open Monday to Friday during the day.

We are looking for someone interested in supporting individuals with diabetes. It is important that you have an interest in technology, as most of our patients use CGM and insulin pumps. The responsibilities at the clinic include conducting your own consultations and providing telephone advice to patients and healthcare personnel who encounter individuals with diabetes in their work. As a diabetes nurse, you will also be part of our consulting services to the departments. Responsibilities include educating patients on how to use aids correctly, interpreting and analyzing glucose curves, adjusting insulin doses, pump adjustments, and prescribing aids. The focus is on the individual's self-care.

Requirements:

• We are looking for a licensed nurse with further education in diabetes (at least 15 credits) or a licensed nurse with a specialist nursing degree in diabetes.

Desirable:

• You have experience from previous outpatient work as a diabetes nurse.

You are interested in technology and data. You have a holistic view of the patient, are responsible, and work in a structured manner. You are used to working independently and making your own decisions, but also to working in a team around the patient. You appreciate close contact with the patient and are engaged and want to help develop patient-centered care at the clinic. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
