The Ambulance Service Dalarna is a county clinic with 11 ambulance stations from Särna in the north to Avesta in the south. Our operations are characterized by high competence and quality, where the patient's best interests are in focus. Nurse Day/Night (2 long-term vacancies) for the Ambulance in Sälen

As a nurse in the Ambulance Service, you will work with pre-hospital emergency care, where you meet patients of all ages who have suffered from acute illness or injury. You assess and treat patients at home, at the scene of an accident, and during transport to healthcare facilities. The focus is on good care and compassion in patient interactions. You work both independently and in a team, where collaboration and knowledge exchange are essential for the best possible care of the sick and injured. You will work according to the current treatment guidelines for the Ambulance Service Dalarna.

At our station in Sälen, we are expecting growth and therefore need to recruit those who want to work in an exciting environment.

Two maternity leave vacancies are hereby announced, and we will need to recruit continuously to strengthen our wonderful team.

During the winter season, the station is reinforced to meet the needs of the significantly increased population. This includes medical interventions during major events, such as the Vasaloppet, as well as handling winter sports-related accidents. At the same time, we ensure continued good access to ambulance care for the regular local population. During the off-season, the work is characterized by service in a fantastic nature, where independent work and a clear solution focus are particularly important qualities.

We work with individual schedule planning, and the job involves working both day, night, and weekends.

Requirements:

- Licensed nurse

- Specialist nursing degree with a focus on ambulance care (not required for temporary positions)

If you do not have specialist training in ambulance care when you apply to us, you must undergo the training within an agreed period. Some support for attending the training is provided by the employer.

- You must be approved according to the Ambulance Service Dalarna's guidelines regarding employment tests and introductory training.

- Swimming proficiency 200 m, certificate required

If you do not have the required qualifications when you apply to us, you must begin obtaining driving license C1 within an agreed period. The employer covers health examinations and driving school costs.

Meritorious:

- Specialist nursing degree with a focus on ambulance care

- Previous experience in ambulance care

- Prio1 qualification

- PS/PHTLS/AMLS training

- Driving license with the ability to drive a passenger car with a total weight over 3.5 tons.

We place great importance on your personal qualities such as teamwork ability, positive attitude, and engagement. You need to be confident in your professional role, have a genuine interest in people, and always keep the patient in focus. You can work independently and handle stressful situations but also enjoy working in a team and contributing your knowledge to a good work environment.

This position requires that you have a valid license for the relevant profession. Your professional license will be checked against the National Board of Health and Welfare's register of licensed healthcare professionals (HOSP) before any job offer.
