Primary care is the hub of healthcare, and we aim to provide good and safe care for our residents. The health center in Vansbro is located in Vansbro municipality and has approximately 6500 registered patients. We have various professional categories working with us, such as doctors, nurses, district nurses, nursing assistants, therapists, medical secretaries, business developers, care and rehabilitation coordinators, midwives, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. The mission for primary care in Dalarna is formulated in agreement with the Care Choice Unit. The work at the child health center (BVC) is carried out with support from the Child Health Unit.

We are looking for a District/Child Health Nurse who will share the responsibility at the BVC. The BVC nurse is a key person in the child health care team at the BVC, as the majority of child health care work is performed by the BVC nurse. The work at BHV includes, in addition to promoting and supporting a comprehensive somatic perspective, also a public health-oriented and psychosocial perspective. This requires that the BVC nurse works closely with several professionals regarding the child's health, collaborates with other actors in the care chain, e.g., family centers, and with other services. As a BVC nurse, you actively support parents through scheduled visits, parent groups, telephone advice, and home visits. In your work, you will receive support from the BHV unit and work according to the national basic program. You will have a stimulating job with opportunities for regular professional development through the BHV unit. The BVC nurse works from a health pedagogical holistic perspective and actively supports parents, strengthening their confidence in their own competence and problem-solving ability according to the national program of child health care.

We are looking for someone who:

• is a licensed specialist nurse with a focus on district nursing or with a focus on health and medical care for children and adolescents.
• A valid driver's license (B) is required.

Meritorious:

• Experience from primary care and working in our medical record system, Cosmic.

As a person, you have a professional approach in your interactions with children and their families, creating trust. The tasks within BHV require high competence in child care and a child perspective. You should have a good ability to collaborate with other agencies while also being able to work independently, take responsibility for your assignment, and be flexible and resilient under stress.
