Mora is the Vasaloppet town with proximity to nature and mountains. Mora Hospital is one of the county's two emergency hospitals, and with the patient base that the hospital has due to large tourist flows and outdoor facilities in Sälen and Idre, it has a profile as a trauma hospital.

In the catchment area, about 80,000 people live, and the patient base doubles during tourist seasons. Mora Hospital has a wide range of services in internal medicine and surgical specialties, and here you will enjoy the comfort of a small hospital with local knowledge. You will recognize most people at the hospital, and they will recognize you. In the emergency department - where you will spend a lot of time - you will work independently around the clock with active backup support. As a resident physician, you will see and do a lot, which provides excellent learning with a steep learning curve and broad experience. In psychiatry, inpatient care is conducted in Säter and Falun, and outpatient care in Mora. Your primary care placement will be at one of the health centers in northern/western Dalarna.

It is now time to apply for residency starting in early August or early November 2026.

Our setup:

• 6 months in internal medicine specialties
• 6 months in surgical specialties
• 3 months in psychiatry within the joint inpatient care clinic in Falun and Säter, as well as outpatient care in Mora
• 6 months in general medicine at one of the area's 9 health centers

We are looking for someone with high social competence and good judgment. You are easy to collaborate with while also having a good ability to lead. You are mature, motivated, and have good self-awareness. You possess the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to successfully perform the work of a resident physician.

We are looking for our future specialists and would like you to have an interest in a more long-term collaboration and a desire to contribute to the development of the operations together with us in northern and western Dalarna.

Formal qualifications:

You must have a Swedish medical degree at the start of your residency and be able to present the corresponding diploma or the Socialstyrelsen's decision on residency. You should have good knowledge of the Swedish language. If required by the Socialstyrelsen, the legislative course must be approved at the time of application.

- Socialstyrelsen's decision on residency (if you studied abroad)

- Contact details for at least two relevant references from healthcare-related jobs you have worked closely with.
