Mora is a town close to nature and mountains, inviting outdoor activities and an active leisure life all year round. Mora Hospital is one of Region Dalarna's two acute hospitals. The catchment area has about 80,000 inhabitants, but outdoor facilities in Sälen and Idre, as well as large sports events both summer and winter, bring significant tourist flows. At Mora Hospital, you will find the charm of a small hospital while it serves as a trauma hospital. The Operation Anesthesia ICU clinic consists of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Central Surgery (C-op), Day Surgery Mora (DKM), anesthesia reception, and Sterile Technology. The ICU cares for about 1,500 patients per year, of which about 500 are ICU patients. At C-op and DKM, a total of about 4,500-5,000 operations are performed annually, primarily surgery and orthopedics, but also some urology. Sterile Technology handles goods from operating departments, care departments, and clinics at the hospital, as well as from all health centers in Region Dalarna. We have a close collaboration with other clinics and also assist with external assignments at the hospital such as anesthesia/sedation at clinics, alarm teams, and higher competence during secondary transport to another hospital.

Operating Room Nurse for Day Surgery Mora

As an operating room nurse, you will be part of the surgical team together with a nursing assistant and an anesthesia nurse. You are responsible for systematically planning and organizing work in connection with surgical procedures, ensuring that hygienic and aseptic principles are met, and preventing the spread of infection. Day Surgery Mora (DKM) is a modern operating department in bright and fresh premises. DKM has two large operating rooms where we primarily operate on patients with procedures that do not require inpatient postoperative care, such as laparoscopic hernia and gallbladder surgery, open hernia surgery, hand and foot surgery, arthroscopic surgery, and to some extent gynecological surgery. Some of our patients are pre- and post-treated with us but are operated on at Central Surgery. We have a wonderful work environment characterized by positivity, job satisfaction, and a strive to give our patients the best possible experience during their visit with us. Here, we work towards the same goal! With us, you will have the opportunity to work daytime Monday to Friday, have weekends off, and we are closed on public holidays.

Requirements:

You are a licensed nurse with a specialist nursing degree in operating room nursing.

Personal qualities:

We are looking for someone who is positive and meticulous, has a patient-focused approach, and a good attitude towards both patients and colleagues. You also have an easy time expressing yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written, and working in a digital medical record management system. Your ability to multitask and withstand stress is good, and you have the ability to keep many balls in the air. We also see that you have good collaboration skills and a flexible working style. We are looking for someone who is engaged and contributes to a good work environment. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability and previous references.
