The Social Services Administration operates under the principle that all people we meet have the same value and are unique. Within the administration, there are IFO, LSS operations, social psychiatry, health and medical care, home care, and special accommodations. Approximately 800 employees work around the clock for our target groups.

Safety and care at night – become part of the night patrol this summer.

As a nursing assistant in the Night Patrol, you will drive the municipality's cars to different clients, aiming to provide safe and individually tailored care in the client's own home during the night. Together with colleagues, you are responsible for performing services according to the assistance decision, which includes personal care, supervision, medical interventions delegated by a nurse, and emergency response.

The work is based on a scheduled arrangement and is carried out in accordance with the clients' individual implementation plans. Your tasks include alarm management, documentation according to established routines, and reporting deviations. You will use a mobile phone as a work tool to access schedules, approve completed services, and ensure good communication within the operation.

The work is partially physically demanding with heavier lifting, transfers, and movement, such as stairs to the clients' accommodations.

The position requires flexibility as you will work in both Horndal and the central parts of Avesta based on the needs of the operation, and solo work may occur.

The positions within the night patrol are scheduled and involve working every other weekend. A B driver's license is required.

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone who:

• Has an interest in and enjoys care and support work
• Is a citizen of Sweden or another EU country, or has permanent residency or a valid work and residence permit
• Is 18 years or older
• Has sufficient knowledge of Swedish to handle speech and writing in the job
• Can manage a mobile job with lifting, transfers, and stairs
• Can use a computer and mobile phone as work tools
• Can work in environments where there are pets, strong odors, and smoking
• Has a B driver's license and can drive the municipality's cars
• Can work most of the summer period (weeks 23–34) according to the schedule. Time off during the period should be stated in the application. If you prefer to work as a substitute, we refer you to separate ads on avesta.se.

You are a calm and self-aware person who remains composed in stressful situations, easily adapts, and enjoys meeting people. You collaborate well and respond to others with empathy and a sense of service.

It is an advantage if you have experience in care and support, pedagogy, or treatment, as well as relevant education such as care/support or child and leisure. Education or ongoing studies to become a nursing assistant/care assistant and previous delegations are also seen as a plus.
