Sopranen is Borlänge's first family center, inaugurated in May 2023 in brand new premises located near the Kupolen area. Organizationally, the region's parts of the family center fall under Jakobsgårdarnas healthcare center. The work at the family center is health-promoting, general, early preventive, supportive, and directed towards expectant parents and families with children aged 0-6 years. Currently, 6 child health nurses, 4 midwives, MHV/BHV doctors, and 4 maternal and child health psychologists work at Sopranen. In addition to the region's staff, there are also preschool teachers at the Open Preschool, social workers from the Social Services' preventive and promotional unit, and the family center's coordinator in the building.

Child Health Nurse for Family Center Sopranen, Borlänge Job Responsibilities

As a child health nurse at the Family Center Sopranen, you will work not only with the national child health program but also with an extended home visiting program, "Together for a Safe Start". This is fundamentally based on the Rinkeby model, with the addition of a team visit together with the midwife during pregnancy and a concluding appointment at the age of 2. In Dalarna, this is the only service working with: "Together for a Safe Start". Safe Start is aimed at those giving birth to their first child or first child in Sweden and is today an implemented working method in collaboration with the Social Services' preventive and promotional unit. Employees at the family center are expected to have a professional approach in their interactions with colleagues, patients, and families, creating trust. We are looking for someone who has a very good ability to collaborate with colleagues, management, and other partners. You can also work in different environments and are not averse to moving outside the workplace as many of your visits will take place in families' homes. The employer provides cars and bicycles for this purpose. The work at the clinic is independent, and you are responsible for ensuring that the families you work with are called to their various appointments. You are meticulous, have good initiative and planning skills, are stress-resistant, and contribute to a good work environment. Continuing education and training for staff are priorities in the organization, and various training days are offered continuously, mainly within the region. As a new employee, you will be offered to participate in the introduction program of the child health unit. Sopranen's staff has undergone RFSL's training, and in the fall of 2025, the family center will be HBTQI-certified. Newly hired staff will also undergo a shorter training in HBTQI.

Requirements:

• Licensed specialist nurse with a focus on children and youth or district nurse
• Driving license B

Desirable:

• Previous work in child health care

Great importance is placed on good collaboration skills both within the organization and externally. You have a good ability to work independently.
