The forensic psychiatric clinic in Säter is responsible for highly specialized care at the county, regional, and national levels. We mainly care for patients under the law on forensic psychiatric care, but also for patients who become ill during ongoing criminal care or during detention. We have a total of 78 care places divided into seven departments staffed by experienced nurses and caregivers.

Nurses and caregivers work together in care teams and collaborate with the clinic's treatment team, including social workers, psychologists, addiction therapists, and doctors.

Temporary position - Caregiver at the forensic psychiatric clinic in Säter

We work to offer patients skills that promote recovery.

There is a clear structure for how care and treatment should be organized for patients at the clinic. Care and treatment are the focus. We work closely with patients and therefore need to be able to receive and manage various emotional expressions such as anxiety, worry, joy, and anger. An important part of the job is to see the person behind the crime, where one observes and motivates/supports the patient to have a functioning everyday life. Documentation and reports. Conversations and assessments. Various activities. Everyday life should be functional, and this work includes having different areas of responsibility such as the kitchen, serving meals during the day, storage, orders, and some cleaning. We should be adult role models and be able to provide patients with various skills that lead to a transition from the clinic to housing and other interventions through the municipality and outpatient care.

The departments have routines for ongoing monitoring of where the patients are and perform daily safety assessments.

We are looking for someone who

• has a degree from the Care and Nursing program, YH education as a Caregiver in Psychiatric Operations 400 credits, or equivalent relevant education.

Meritorious

• experience in psychiatric care

We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills who wants to work in a team where the patient is an obvious member. We would like you to be interested in working with care and treatment interventions for patients. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
