Your Responsibilities

As a care assistant at Edshultsgården, you will provide personal care and social support based on the residents' needs. Your work will be marked by responsibility, collaboration, and a strive to provide the best possible care. As a care assistant with us, you will uphold our residents' self-determination, integrity, and participation, ensuring they feel well-being. We work together to provide the elderly with a meaningful and stimulating daily life.

You can expect varied tasks; assisting with breaking the night fast, dressing and undressing, transfers, personal hygiene, and escorting. Service tasks include laundry, bed-making, and cleaning. Documenting the care and support you provide is an important part of daily work.

The role also includes performing certain health and medical tasks as delegated.

Your Profile

• We are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant or studying in a nursing program
• Previous experience in special housing is an advantage, as well as knowledge and/or experience working with individuals with dementia.
• You are accustomed to working with digital tools such as mobile phones, computers, or tablets and possess good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, to document the care you provide and communicate with our residents.
• As some tasks require good physical fitness, it is important that this requirement is met.

We expect you to have personal maturity and be both self-driven and service-oriented. You take responsibility, are flexible, and can handle stressful situations. You are proactive and responsive to residents' needs and show respect for others. You find it easy to collaborate with residents, relatives, colleagues, and other staff.

About the Workplace

Edshultsgården is a special housing facility for individuals with dementia, where safety, care, and quality permeate everything we do. The facility consists of nine departments and accommodates a total of 73 places. There is also a department specifically adapted for individuals with a combination of dementia and mental health variations, as well as a department focused on somatic issues.

We work in teams with broad expertise and a shared commitment to our residents. To ensure high-quality care, we have support roles such as quality leaders, meal coordinators, and activity coordinators. Together, we create a meaningful and stimulating daily life – where every individual is seen, heard, and respected.
