We are now looking for a coordinating intelligence leader based in Kungsholmen.

The Intelligence Unit in the Stockholm region is responsible for intelligence operations in the region. The unit conducts intelligence activities aimed at preventing, deterring, and detecting criminal activities. The mission mainly involves gathering, processing, analyzing, and sharing information that will serve as a basis for decisions on operational measures.

Job Description

As a coordinating intelligence leader, you will coordinate the overall operational work at the Intelligence Section City/Gotland. Furthermore, you will support intelligence-led actions and interventions regarding serious and organized crime. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and distributing work at various levels, with a strong focus on producing intelligence products and decision support for managers and various decision-makers. The operations are conducted on both a strategic, operational, and tactical timescale.

Common tasks, in addition to what has been mentioned above, include

  • Representing the intelligence unit in external operational meetings.
  • Maintaining the internal situational picture.
  • Collaboration internally within the intelligence unit in Stockholm as well as with corresponding units in other regions, and externally with other authorities' intelligence operations.
  • Coordinating information internally within the intelligence unit and collaborating with police areas and other units in the region.
  • Representing the intelligence unit at the command center during various types of operations.

The function is a supervisory role, but without personnel responsibility. You will, for example, lead various operational meetings in accordance with the police's management system, but it will also mean representing the intelligence function in a staff.

Qualifications

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • Swedish police degree or an academic education in, for example, criminology or law, or another academic education that the employer deems relevant.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form.
  • Experience in crime-fighting work against serious organized crime.
  • Good and above all broad IT skills that the employer deems relevant in this context.
  • Experience in leadership that the employer deems relevant.
  • Driver's license B.
  • Swedish citizenship.

It is meritorious if you also have:

  • Experience in intelligence work at a Swedish authority that the employer deems relevant.
  • Experience in staff work.
  • Experience in coordination.

As the role requires high availability, work outside of office hours may occur.
