At the Migration Agency, we work with one of the major societal issues of our time – migration. In total, we are about 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!

Do you have experience working in or with monitoring projects and programs? Are you interested in migration policy issues? We are looking for someone who wants to work as a junior expert focusing on the review and monitoring of projects within the funds function at the Migration Agency.

You will have the opportunity to contribute your expertise while also developing yourself.

The funds function is an independent unit at the Migration Agency responsible for managing the EU fund AMIF, the Asylum, Migration, and Integration Fund. Through our mission, we contribute to ensuring that migration to and from Sweden operates in a sustainable, efficient, and secure manner for individuals and society. We carry out our mission in an international and dynamic context, collaborating with both small local actors and national and international partners. Main Responsibilities

At the Asylum, Migration, and Integration Fund (AMIF), we support projects across the country that contribute to a long-term and sustainable migration policy, starting from the application process through to settlement and integration or return.

As a junior expert at AMIF, you will primarily work with the review and monitoring of ongoing or future projects, where you will also contribute to program-level work by following up on results and goals in the projects. You will also provide support for applications and project reporting, as well as build and maintain networks with external stakeholders.

You will be part of a department consisting of about 30 employees with expertise in areas such as law, economics, communication, and project and program activities.

You who apply have

  • A degree in social sciences, law, or economics, or another education combined with relevant experience
  • Experience working on projects or with project monitoring
  • Experience working in public sector
  • Good communication skills and can express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish and English
  • Good knowledge of the Office suite

It is meritorious if you have

  • Experience working with any of our subject areas: asylum, migration, integration, or return
  • Experience in practical communication work
  • Experience in international project work within the EU or UN systems
  • Experience in managing EU funds
