Specialist Physician in Psychiatry Wanted

Do you want to work at a clinic with dedicated, experienced, and well-educated staff, a good atmosphere, and opportunities for development? The work at the clinic is varied and characterized by collaboration in interdisciplinary teams consisting of occupational therapists, social workers, doctors, psychologists, nurses, and nursing assistants.

We are now looking for a specialist physician in psychiatry for our clinic. There are four other specialist physicians at the clinic, all with extensive experience in psychiatry. We regularly receive residents both in psychiatry and those rotating from other specialties. Currently, we also have a junior doctor with a long-term position at the clinic.

A close collaboration exists with our care departments at our clinic, including self-selected admissions for patients with emotional instability.

Specialist Psychiatric Clinic 3 is a unit with over 20 employees. It is located in Alvik, along with three other general psychiatric clinics with different areas of expertise.

For those not residing in Stockholm and its surroundings, Alvik in Bromma is as close to the city center as you can get. The transportation options are good, with subway, tram, streetcar, and bus available about 100 meters from the clinic.

As a physician, you will continuously participate in the clinic's development work alongside your clinical duties. The workplace is open and receptive to ideas for potential changes.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

  • is a licensed physician with specialist competence in psychiatry.
  • has experience with personality assessments
  • values the social work environment and enjoys having fun at work
  • has knowledge of and preferably experience in neuropsychiatric assessment
  • is interested in evaluation and evidence-based treatment.
  • finds continuous development of the organization and working methods stimulating.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in a team. You are interested in working with the patient group. You are persistent, patient, and flexible, and can adapt your work to varying needs.

Conditions

Full-time, permanent. Start date by agreement.

  • background checks are applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
  • employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment.
  • in addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
