About the position

As a clinical teacher/AKA, you will be responsible for creating a clear educational environment for today’s radiography students, where clinical education, introduction, and professional development of future radiographers are essential. Together with nursing managers, colleagues, and mentors, you will work to ensure a good learning environment with high quality and good pedagogical competence in all radiological areas. As an AKA/Clinical Teacher, you will be responsible for driving development, coordination, and follow-up of students placed within the network in accordance with established goals and given frameworks. The AKA assignment also includes an adjunct position at an educational institution, Karolinska Institute.

You play a key role in the department, where you, together with managers, are responsible for the introduction of new staff and support and follow up during the introduction period. You will participate in the implementation of new methods and guidelines in the department. You actively participate in various projects and quality work, thus contributing to the development of the department.

The position is combined with clinical work as a radiographer based on agreement and the needs of the organization, according to your specialty. The extent may vary based on the needs of the organization, and the work will be designed in consultation with the manager.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Licensed radiographer
• Mentor training 7.5 credits
• At least 3 years of experience as a radiographer

Desirable:

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Previous experience in mentoring/teaching
• Experience working with computed tomography.
