Engaged Nurse Wanted for Psychiatric Department Ytterö
Stockholm County's Healthcare Area, SLSO, is forming a new operation - Psychosis Care Stockholm, where all outpatient clinics and inpatient wards for patients with psychotic disorders will be gathered within this new operation.
We at Department Ytterö are now looking for an engaged nurse to join our team of experienced nurses in psychiatric care.
About Us at Psychiatric Department Ytterö
At Psychiatric Department Ytterö, we provide inpatient care with a primary focus on psychotic disorders. Ytterö receives patients from acute conditions to those admitted via referrals, outpatient care, or voluntary admission. The department accepts patients from across the region as long as there is space available. Here, a dedicated team works where person-centered inpatient care for patients with psychiatric issues is at the core. To ensure quality and equitable care, interventions for the patient are guided by diagnosis-specific care process maps tailored to the patient's individual needs. The department employs nursing assistants, healthcare assistants, nurses, social workers, medical secretaries, and doctors working together. The unit is beautifully located next to Lake Magelungen near Farsta Centrum. Public transport is easily accessible, and there are parking spaces for employees.
Your Role as a Nurse
As a nurse in the department, you share responsibility for the psychiatric and somatic care of the patients. You maintain contact with caregivers and relatives. You perform standard nursing tasks such as sampling, medication management, leadership, and documentation in the TakeCare journal system. You will be trained in and responsible for voluntary admissions. You will work in Lifecare to coordinate between the municipality and outpatient care. If you have a specialist nursing degree in psychiatric care, there is an opportunity to work with the unit manager to take responsibility for and develop one of the following areas: medication management, documentation, integrated outpatient and inpatient care responsibility, or as a coordinator for patients and relatives.
Our Expectations of You
We are looking for someone who genuinely cares about people with mental health issues, appreciates teamwork, collaborates well, and can adapt to changes. You demonstrate empathetic abilities and are curious and open to new people. You are interested in driving and implementing care development in the department.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, flexibility, and good collaboration skills. Furthermore, we require that you are a licensed nurse. Experience in psychiatric inpatient care and/or a specialist degree in psychiatry is advantageous. Newly graduated nurses are welcome to apply.
What Can We Offer You?
Night schedule with a 32.20-hour workweek.
We offer the opportunity to work in a workplace that allows for personal and professional development at both individual and group levels. We provide a work environment where we, as a team, ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
As an employer, we care about our employees' health and well-being and offer flexible hours, wellness hours, and an annual wellness allowance of 5,000 SEK.
We provide a tailored introduction schedule/program. We have several experienced nurses at Ytterö who can act as mentors. Studying to become a specialist nurse in psychiatric care can be part of your development plan.
Does This Sound Interesting?
You apply for the position with a CV, cover letter, and certificates.
Warm welcome with your application! The position will be filled provided it is not needed for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
