Experienced Registered Nurse for Night Shift, Geriatric GAVA at Södertälje Hospital

VO Care represented Södertälje Hospital in the Magnet4Europe study, and we are now continuing to work with the magnet model to enable a good working environment and nursing development.

With us, nursing assistants and nurses work together, and the operational area is also led by nurses. We provide care in several different areas such as internal medicine, surgery, orthopedics, geriatrics, and palliative care. We are a total of 360 people distributed across nine care departments and ASIH, and currently have 173 care places.

GAVA is a Geriatric Acute Care Unit. Common diagnoses at GAVA include heart failure, kidney failure, COPD, and various types of infections. We also receive patients for preparation for colonoscopy examinations.

We are looking for someone who has a solid interest in the care of geriatric patients and who is seeking a workplace where you can develop and grow in your role as a nurse.

On the ward, we work with continuous professional development that goes hand in hand with your personal development plan, and we apply Region Stockholm's competence ladders for nurses in clinical care. As a nurse, you should have an interest in the elderly and a desire to learn new things. In early 2026, we will move into new purpose-built premises for both patients and staff. You will have the opportunity to help build the future of geriatrics.

Your Personal Qualities:

We are looking for someone who is positive and flexible in their approach and confident in their profession. You enjoy working independently but have a strong sense of teamwork. You are responsible, creative, and have a genuine interest in developing care on the ward, and you like pace changes during your work shift.

Your Qualifications:

Requirements:
- Registered nurse with the right to practice within Swedish healthcare.
- At least 2 years of professional experience.

Meritorious:
- Experience from a geriatric acute care unit is an advantage.

Permanent employment, night shift, full-time or part-time, 73.98%
