About the Position

In home care, no day is the same! You help the elderly with what they have difficulty managing on their own, based on assistance decisions. Your workdays can vary, and some of your tasks may include:

• Personal care (e.g., dressing, showering, toilet visits, assistance with transfers, changing incontinence pads)
• Cooking, shopping, cleaning, and laundry
• Companionship during walks and activities
• Delegated tasks from a nurse (e.g., medication management, wound care, catheter, and stoma care)

You will receive an introduction with both theoretical and practical training to feel secure in your role. You will primarily work with the elderly but also with individuals with physical disabilities and dementia. There may be smoking and pets in our clients' homes. You will get around either by bike or car. Most of our employees bike. In your work, you will receive information about visits on your mobile phone, where you will also document what you have done.

In addition to practical tasks, you are also expected to document events in our systems and maintain contact with relatives, primary care, and other internal/external partners. We constantly work together to develop our operations. We have pre-job meetings and always end the day by ensuring documentation and facilitating for upcoming shifts.

Working Hours and Schedule

• Fixed schedule – you will replace a regular employee
• Work shifts occur during day, evening, weekend, and you are expected to work both weekdays and some weekends
• We would like you to be able to work several consecutive weeks during the period of week 22–35, but we also have a need for substitutes before and after the summer.

About You

For this job, your personality is the most important thing. We are looking for someone who is interested in working with people, has a commitment to their work, and a drive to develop and improve. You need to be able to adapt quickly to changes and see opportunities in new situations.

You collaborate well with others, are attentive, and communicate clearly. You have the ability to understand others' perspectives and can empathetically handle others' feelings with a calm and friendly approach.

We want you to:

• Be at least 18 years old before starting
• Have good knowledge of Swedish (spoken & written)
• Be able to bike and be accustomed to it
• Have computer skills and the ability to document

It is considered a merit if you:

• Have previously worked in home care
• Have a B driver's license and can drive a vehicle for work
• Have knowledge of documentation within SoL
