About the position

As a nurse in our ICU, you will work variably with our different patient groups within intensive care, cardiac intensive care, intermediate care, and postoperative care. We also perform elective examinations and procedures that require monitoring. Teamwork is central to us, and you will collaborate closely with several professions to create safety and quality for both patients and relatives around the clock. Your responsibilities include:

• Responsibility for the care of patients who have failure in their vital functions due to severe medical conditions or surgeries.
• Responsibility for assessment, monitoring, and follow-up of patients' care needs and vital parameters.
• Safe handling of medical technology and medical technical products.
• Medication management and implementation of decided treatment.
• Support, inform, and involve relatives in patient care with an empathetic approach.

About our offer:

We offer a wellness allowance of 5000 SEK via Epassi for the year 2026.

About you

For this role, you need to:

• Be a nurse with further education in intensive care/anesthesia/cardiac care.
• Have experience in acute care.
• Have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.

It is also meritorious if you have:

• Worked in intensive care, IMA, or HIA.

In the intensive care unit at Norrtälje Hospital, we provide intensive care, cardiac intensive care, intermediate care, and postoperative care. There are nine care places, three of which are full intensive care places. About 60 employees with broad and high competence work with us.
