Nurse for Summer Substitute at the Emergency Department

Job Description

As a nurse, you have overall responsibility for the first meeting with the patient where you make an assessment, triage, and perform prescribed nursing actions.

You also ensure to document the patient's nursing process in the patient's journal. We work in care teams that involve a multidisciplinary collaboration between nurses, nursing assistants, and emergency physicians. Sorting of patients is based on severity.

Our working method combined with bright, pleasant facilities has resulted in a better working environment for staff and a more comfortable stay for patients. We work in the Take Care journal system. For you as an experienced nurse, it also includes mentoring and introducing nursing students and newly hired colleagues.

We offer the possibility of scheduling during the summer with a great opportunity for extension.

Qualifications

You are structured and can prioritize as meetings with patients often require immediate actions, quick decisions, and close follow-up. This requires you to be quick at establishing new relationships with patients and colleagues. Furthermore, you are comfortable working at a varied pace, are responsible, and have a strong solution focus.

You have a genuine interest in developing your skills in nursing and emergency care. You possess a humble attitude and an ethical approach to your surroundings. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Competence Requirements

• Licensed nurse
• Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1
