The Emergency Department/Primary Care at Norrtälje Hospital is now looking for summer temps while our regular staff takes a well-deserved vacation.

About the Position

As a nurse in the emergency department, you will care for critically ill and injured patients, but you will also assist patients who come to us for minor injuries and illnesses. You will collaborate with nursing assistants and doctors and be responsible for triaging patients who come to us. Our emergency department also serves as a primary care unit, which provides a great variety of tasks, and no day is the same. Due to the primary care assignment, the work also includes caring for sick children.

The job involves shift work, mainly day and evening shifts, with weekend duties included. Night shifts may be relevant depending on your previous experience.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Standard nursing work in the emergency department with adults and in primary care with both adults and children.
• Triaging patients.
• Managing critically ill patients in interprofessional collaboration.
• Leading within the framework of the profession.

About You

For this role, you need to:

• Be a licensed nurse.
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Be familiar with data and systems.

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Experience working in an emergency department and/or within acute care.
• At least two years of experience as a nurse.
• Specialist training in a relevant field.
• Experience with TakeCare.

As you will be replacing regular staff, we expect you to be self-sufficient and able to ask for help when needed.
