About the Position

As a nursing assistant on the emergency department, you will care for severely ill and accident victims, but you will also assist patients who come to us for minor injuries and lighter illnesses. You will collaborate with nurses and doctors and assist in triaging patients who seek our help. Together with the nurse, you will provide care based on the patient’s needs.

Our emergency department also serves as a local emergency care, which provides a great variety in tasks, and no day is the same. Due to the local emergency care assignment, the work also includes taking care of sick children.

The job involves shift work, primarily day and evening shifts, with weekend work included. Night work may become relevant depending on your previous experiences.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Nursing tasks
• Triaging patients together with a nurse
• Assisting in various procedures such as suturing and various punctures
• Monitoring vital parameters and performing EKGs
• Blood sampling, both venous and capillary
• Documentation in the Take Care journal system

About You

For this position, you need to:

• Be a trained nursing assistant or have completed three semesters of nursing studies or five semesters of medical studies
• Have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing
• Have good computer and system skills

It is advantageous if you also have:

• Experience in emergency care
• Experience working in a hospital

As you will be replacing regular staff, we expect you to be self-sufficient and able to ask for help when needed.
