Developer in EdTech

EdTech is an exciting and growing field within software development. In this area, JENSEN education drives development with our proprietary learning platform Campus. We are now looking for an engaged and experienced developer for a project-based employment focused on strengthening and maintaining our existing systems.

We are looking for someone who is driven to solve complex problems in an established codebase and who wants to contribute to a meaningful purpose where thousands of students are given a better chance to succeed in their studies.

About the Role

As a developer with us, you will play a key role in ensuring the stability of our learning platform. Your main task will be to work with our PHP-based environment, focusing on bug fixes, troubleshooting, and stabilizing older systems.

You will be part of the JENSEN IT development team responsible for our internal data systems and the educational software Campus. Our systems are used daily by 26,000 users, which places high demands on our existing code to function flawlessly and efficiently.

In this role, you will:

• Identify, analyze, and resolve bugs in complex PHP environments.
• Work on maintaining legacy systems to ensure operations.
• Optimize existing code and database queries to improve stability and performance.
• Work closely with product owners and the team in an agile flow (Scrum).
• Be part of something bigger – your ability to solve technical problems directly impacts the daily lives of 26,000 users.

We believe you have:

• At least 5 years of professional system development experience in PHP Laravel.
• Extensive experience working with legacy systems and a good ability to quickly understand existing codebases.
• Solid experience in bug fixing and troubleshooting.
• Good experience working with SQL databases (MySQL).
• A solution-oriented and meticulous approach – you enjoy getting to the bottom of technical problems.

We believe you have:

• Experience in EdTech or similar large administrative systems.
• Knowledge in other parts of our stack (e.g. Angular/Typescript).
• Experience in version control with Git.

Employment Type

The position is a fixed-term full-time employment starting as soon as possible or by agreement until the end of June 2026.

Location

We are located in bright, pleasant, and modern premises in central Gamla stan, Stockholm. About 30 employees and managers work at the headquarters, of which 9 people are involved in the IT environment of the operations.
