He has moved from Lidingö in Stockholm to Valjeviken in Sölvesborg to study for about 2 years. As an assistant to this young man, you will help him in his daily life and everything that entails. He has a physical disability that has weakened his muscles, and he uses a power wheelchair among other aids. His hearing, speech, and vision are significantly affected, so it is important that you speak and understand Swedish fluently. He does not have any cognitive impairment, so he is capable of thinking and expressing opinions independently.

Since the assistance may involve helping with dressing/undressing, mobility support/lifting, assistance during toilet visits and showering, etc., we prefer candidates between the ages of 25-50, as this will be most comfortable for the client. You will also help him with cleaning, laundry, participating in activities such as pool training, and assisting him with certain physical tasks at school, as well as reading/writing assignments that he needs to complete. In school, there is a lot happening around him, and he needs considerable help from you to navigate what needs to be written down, what he should do, what the assignments are, and to ask for extra help from the school if he needs more support. It is important that you have great patience and are empathetic. You want to listen to how he wants things done; sometimes you step forward, and sometimes you step back. It is essential that you are a good swimmer!

The young man's greatest interest is following political debates and community programs, as well as political YouTubers, and it is important and nice that you can engage in the client's interests. You are welcome to be interested in trying new activities but should not be averse to taking it easy and being able to occupy yourself during a typical evening at home.

We are looking for someone who is easy-going, enjoys spontaneous activities, but also appreciates and does not get bored with alone time. You need to have good patience and not take offense if he sometimes gets frustrated with various situations that arise. It is a plus if you live near Valjeviken!

During the Christmas and summer holidays, he will travel to Stockholm, and you are warmly welcome to join and work up to full-time for 1-2 weeks, or if you prefer, take the opportunity to be off or work elsewhere during this time. He lives in Valjeviken, and the assistant's room is in the same apartment but in a separate room.

The client has assistance around the clock with waiting time during the night approximately 22:30-06:30 on weekdays and 23:00-07:30 on weekends and holidays; during this time, there is on-call compensation according to the collective agreement of the Care Companies. Management is available on-site.

Interviews and hiring will take place continuously.
