Your Responsibilities

As a housing support worker, you provide support to residents in their daily lives based on individual needs. The work is conducted within the framework of case management, where you, together with the individual, plan, structure, and follow up on daily life. The interventions are designed collaboratively and are based on an implementation plan.

The support may include various aspects of daily living, such as cleaning, laundry, shopping, and personal care. In your work, you should always respect the individual's self-determination, integrity, and participation, as well as strengthen the individual's belief in their own abilities.

The work also involves offering and motivating activities, social interaction, and employment. You work with motivational interviewing (MI) and have a pedagogical approach. If necessary, you can support the individual in contact with authorities and accompany them to activities.

We work according to the methods ESL (An Independent Life), low-arousal approach, and IBIC (Individual Needs in Center). The role also includes documentation, record-keeping, and keeping implementation plans current and alive.

Your Workplace

Fogdegatan 53 is a 24-hour operation with 16 apartments. The residence is aimed at individuals with mental health issues, substance abuse, and neuropsychiatric variations. The staff group consists of seven housing support workers, one support educator, and one team leader, with access to a nurse. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, weekends, and sleeping on-call.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant or caregiver, or has another equivalent education. It is advantageous if your education is focused on psychiatry/care. To succeed in this role, you need to have experience in psychiatry and/or neuropsychiatry as well as caregiving work. You have knowledge of psychiatry and a low-arousal approach.

Experience working with substance abuse issues and social work is also an advantage. Knowledge of the methods ESL, MI, and pedagogical approaches is also meritorious.

You need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills since documentation and record-keeping are important parts of the job. A car is used in the position, which means that a driver's license for a manual transmission is a requirement.
