We are now looking for new employees for the child handling office within the social services and family care.

At Kinda municipality's authority office, we work together and see opportunities instead of obstacles. The IFO authority is divided into three areas: Children and youth, adults, and elderly/LSS. Each area is led by a team leader who guides daily work. Since we are a small authority office, we work closely together and across boundaries.

We are currently looking for someone who wants to make a difference for children and youth, helping to create a safe environment for them. We are looking for a permanent employee, and possibly also a fixed-term position for one year.

Within the children and youth unit, there is a reception function, an investigation group, and a group for placed children/youth. The unit also consists of a family law group and a foster care group. We also have an execution unit through the municipality's own Family Team. We are a group that helps each other and has direct and open communication. We work in adapted premises with private offices. In addition, we offer process guidance, wellness grants, and vacation exchange. There is also the possibility to work from home according to our remote work agreement, which is designed based on the best interests of the operation. This is planned in dialogue with the nearest manager.

Your mission

You will primarily work with investigating and following up on children, youth, and their families. The work may also involve working within, for example, reception or with placements of children/youth. You will have a varied and exciting job in your handling of different types of cases, and we work according to BBIC. Our goal is to maintain high quality in our social work. You will be part of a child group of up to 15 employees, but also have close collaboration with other colleagues in the office who belong to other units.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or an equivalent degree according to legal requirements, and preferably previous experience in social work or investigative work with children and youth. It is advantageous if you have training or experience with BBIC (children's needs in focus), but it is not a requirement as we work with the professional journey, which is a competence-boosting initiative for those new to the profession. You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, as well as documentation skills. Since the position includes travel and home visits, you need to have a B driver's license. As a person, you are good at understanding and empathizing with others' perspectives and situations. You remain calm and composed in situations that require it and focus on the right things. When needed, you can be flexible and have the ability to adapt and find solutions. You have good collaboration skills and also enjoy independently organizing, planning, and creating structure in your work.
