Your tasks

We are looking for social workers for the Adults department, investigation and follow-up, IFO adults. The work consists of investigation and follow-up of decided interventions for adults over 20 years old. As a social worker in the Adults department, you work specifically with adults in need of interventions within Individual and Family Care (IFO), primarily in the area of substance abuse and harmful use and dependence, as well as other psychosocial issues.

The work mainly consists of handling cases according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Abusers Act (LVM). The work also includes motivational work (MI), as well as providing information and advice to users and partners. Other common tasks include collaboration internally within the administration and externally with other relevant actors such as providers and health care. Within the unit and department, there are also groups working with social psychiatry and LSS, which is a great asset in cases requiring cross-professional collaboration.

You will meet adults in vulnerable situations, where one day is not like the other. It is a challenging, fun, and important job where you get a chance to contribute. As support in your work, there are mentors, case guidance from the workgroup, external supervision, administrative support, support from the lead social worker, and support from the unit manager. You will also be part of a group of supportive, development-oriented, and engaged colleagues.

Your workplace

The unit is part of the Adults department within the Social Administration and consists of two groups focused on social psychiatry and individual and family care. The unit includes a unit manager, lead social worker, and employees working as assistance assessors and social workers. The unit works closely with the LSS unit and the Housing unit, which are also part of the Adults department. The Adults department also includes several provider operations that work on behalf of the units within investigation and follow-up and offer interventions such as support, housing, and treatment within social psychiatry as well as substance abuse, harmful use, and dependence.

The workplace is located in newly renovated premises in central Linköping at Drottningatan 45. It is an activity-based workplace, and working hours are weekdays from 07:50 to 17:00 with flexible hours agreement. The possibility of remote work exists by agreement when deemed appropriate based on the needs of the operation and personal circumstances.

Who you are

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or behavioral science that the employer deems suitable. It is a requirement that you have completed a course in social law, or are in the final stages of completing the course. If you also have courses in social work, administrative law, and psychology, we consider it advantageous.

We see it as advantageous to have experience in social authority work as well as work with investigation and follow-up. If you have experience in working with substance abuse and dependency issues, we also see it as advantageous. You should preferably have prior knowledge and experience of working with and documenting in the operational system Treserva and have documentation skills.

The position requires very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as you will be writing decisions and statements to authorities and managing internal and external contacts with accompanying documentation. Since travel is included in the position, a B driver's license is a requirement. We also welcome applicants who are in the final stages of their driver's education. The employment will start with a probationary period and requires that the driver's license is obtained during this time.
