Position as Rehabilitation Assistant within the Health and Care Administration

The position is located within the Health and Care Administration, which is one of eight administrations in Linköping Municipality. The Health and Care Administration is responsible for the municipality's elderly care, health care, regulatory activities, ordering services, and provides care and support on its own. Your Responsibilities

As a rehabilitation assistant, you will have the opportunity to translate theoretical knowledge into practice and gain valuable work experience. Our rehabilitation unit will also benefit from new perspectives and research through your input.

As a rehabilitation assistant, you will work alongside occupational therapists and physiotherapists with rehabilitation for patients in regular housing or nursing homes. You will also have the opportunity to independently perform prescribed interventions. In our operations, collaboration extends across various professions, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and nursing staff. You will also be responsible for our assistive device inventory.

Your Workplace

The summer position lasts from 2026-06-08 to 2026-08-14, with daytime work, Monday to Friday. Your workplace will be located at Ålerydsvägen 7 in Linköping. Rehabilitation assistants within the Health and Care Administration work in health care and are active in both open care forms and nursing homes. Our primary mission is to provide the municipality's citizens with quality-assured care in the rehabilitation area. In our operations, several different professions work together, such as nurses, nursing assistants with various specialist training, as well as physiotherapists and occupational therapists.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is in their final year of the physiotherapy or occupational therapy program. You should have completed semester 4 with passing grades. Previous experience in elderly care is an advantage.

The work involves a lot of patient contact and documentation, which means we require you to communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish. You should have good computer skills. You need to be able to cycle and also have a B driver's license for manual transmission, as cycling/driving is part of the job.

We are looking for someone who works well with others and can relate to them in a responsive and smooth manner. You communicate clearly and ensure that messages are conveyed and that expectations are clear for the parties involved. You take responsibility for your tasks and have the ability to structure your approaches and processes. Furthermore, you have the ability to understand someone else's perspective or situation without taking over the person's feelings.
