Personal Assistant Needed for Child with Cerebral Palsy

We are now looking for another assistant to join our team.

We are looking for someone who has a natural affinity for working with children. You look beyond the disability and see the individual. You listen, see, and are inviting so that the boy can develop his interaction with the environment. Therefore, it is important that you master the Swedish language, especially in speech. Here you will have the opportunity to get to know a little boy with the most loving personality!

Furthermore, you should have a positive and imaginative approach to our little boy with cerebral palsy who also has hearing and vision impairments. As his assistant, you will function as support when he needs help with many basic needs. You will be his eyes, ears, hands, and feet.

The tasks also include assistance with peg feeding, diaper changes, suctioning, mobilization, inhalations, breathing support, standing scales, and sitting aids. Many lifts are involved (aids are available). During the week, he goes to school, and the assistant accompanies him, taking a taxi both to and from school.

Our boy is a cheerful 7-year-old who enjoys nature, play, and sounds. Your participation means helping him have a good and valuable everyday life despite his limitations and illness.

We see that you have previous experience working in care and/or experience working with children. You also need to be able to speak, understand, and read the Swedish language and be smoke-free.

Position: Part-time approximately 40% (possibility to work extra as needed and during holidays)
Working hours: 07:30-14:30, 14:30-21:30
Schedule:
Week 1: Thu and Fri 07:30-14:30
Week 2: Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun 14:30-21
Week 3: Thu and Fri 07:30-14:30
Week 4: Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun 14:30-21

EXTRACT FROM THE CRIMINAL RECORD
According to the law on background checks, anyone working with minors must present an extract from the police's criminal and suspicion register before employment. You can order the form yourself via the police's website. The extract must be for work within LSS.

We will want to see a copy of your passport (SV) or residence card (EU) or residence and work permit/LMA card (outside EU)
