Q+ Assistant for the Bachelor's Program in Computer Science and the Master's Program in Information Technology

The Department of Information Technology holds a leading position in both research and education at all levels.

We are currently Uppsala University's third largest department with over 350 employees, including 120 teachers and 120 doctoral students. Approximately 5000 undergraduate students take one or more courses at the department each year. More information about us can be found on the Department of Information Technology's website.

This is a temporary position at 10-20% as a Q+ assistant for the Bachelor's Program in Computer Science and the Master's Program in Information Technology at the Department of Information Technology.

Job Responsibilities

As a Q+ assistant, you will be responsible for a network of female and non-binary students primarily from the aforementioned programs, but it may also include other female or non-binary students in computer science and related fields. The tasks vary, but common responsibilities include regular networking activities, recruitment activities such as visits to high schools or study fairs, and collaboration with equality work at the faculty and relevant departments. Parts of the work will be done in cooperation with PR assistants from the mentioned programs.

Qualifications

To be employed as an assistant, it is required that you are admitted to education at the undergraduate or advanced level. The applicant must be an active student in the Bachelor's Program in Computer Science or the Master's Program in Information Technology, with good academic results. The work involves many contacts, and personal suitability will be highly valued.

About the Employment

The employment is temporary according to HF Chapter 5 § 12, until 2026-12-31. The extent is 10-20%. Start date is 2026-02-14 or by agreement. Place of employment: Uppsala.
