The Department of Information Technology holds a leading position in both research and education at all levels.

We are currently the third largest department at Uppsala University, with over 350 employees, including 120 teachers and 120 doctoral students. Approximately 5000 undergraduate students take one or more courses at the department each year. A temporary position of 15% as a PR assistant for the Bachelor's program in Computer Science is now open at the Department of Information Technology.

Job Responsibilities

As a PR assistant for the Bachelor's program in Computer Science, you will be the program's face to the outside world: both to high school students considering further studies at university and to various organizations interested in hiring computer scientists. The tasks vary, but common responsibilities include planning alumni presentations, coordinating corporate events, visiting high schools, assisting at study fairs, and maintaining contact with companies that want to advertise to students. The work aims to contribute to broadened recruitment and provide a rich picture of professional life after graduation, often in collaboration with the IT program's PR assistant.

Qualifications

To be employed as an assistant, it is required that you are admitted to undergraduate or advanced level education. The applicant must be an active student in the Bachelor's program in Computer Science, with good academic results. The work involves many contacts, and great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

About the Position

The position is temporary according to HF 5 chap § 12. The extent is 15%. Start date is March 1, 2026, or by agreement. Location: Uppsala.
