Summer Internship for Master's Students in Pharmaceutical Formulation

Are you an engaged and goal-oriented master's student ready to do your utmost to develop your skills and contribute to world-leading research in pharmaceutical formulation? We are now looking for highly motivated master's students in the final stages of their education to carry out research projects during a six-week research internship with SweDeliver's industrial partners.

Based on your academic background and specific areas of interest, you will be matched with relevant projects and partners. You can expect to participate in research in pharmaceutical formulation at the highest international level, in advanced research environments with clear relevance to human health.

SweDeliver is an interdisciplinary collaboration initiative between academia and industry, financially supported by Vinnova (Sweden's innovation agency), established to meet the challenges in the field of pharmaceutical formulation. The initiative has its academic hub at Uppsala University's Faculty of Pharmacy. Our 15 industrial partners contribute with specialist expertise, research infrastructure, and industry perspectives within SweDeliver's three research areas: parenteral, oral, and aerosol pharmaceutical formulation.

Responsibilities

You will assist in research-related tasks with one of our industrial partners. The tasks may include both laboratory and non-experimental work, depending on the project's focus and needs.

Qualifications

To be employed, it is a requirement that you are admitted to advanced level education (master's program) in a relevant field such as pharmacy, engineering, and students in medicine and biomedicine with eligibility to work in Sweden. Since our partners are both Swedish and international companies, it is required that you speak and write English and/or Swedish fluently. You have a collaborative spirit and are creative, used to taking initiatives. It is important that you are responsible, meticulous, and structured. The work involves many contacts, and personal suitability will be highly valued.

About the position: The position is temporary and is intended to cover 50% during the period of June–August 2026, equivalent to six weeks of full-time work. The final scheduling of working hours will be determined in consultation with the relevant industrial partner.
