You will belong to the research group in Physiotherapy and Behavioral Medicine. The knowledge area of physiotherapy concerns how movement, such as physical activity and purposeful motor skills, contributes to health and participation in everyday life and society. The research and teaching are characterized by the integration of physiotherapy and behavioral medicine. Understanding how biological, psychological, and social variables interact in the development of disease, recovery, and healing is central, as well as how these relate to the ability to be physically active and manage daily activities.
Job Responsibilities
The main tasks involve conducting interviews with children who are or have been seriously ill, and their parents, analyzing the interviews using qualitative analysis, and contributing to the development of manuscripts for publication in scientific journals. The work also includes research on maintaining physical activity based on behavioral medicine principles. Planning and administrative tasks in projects related to cancer rehabilitation, such as recruitment and contact with study participants, will also occur.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a PhD and a behavioral medicine-oriented physiotherapist with specialist competence in pediatrics, or alternatively, a behavioral scientist with experience in pediatric clinical research.
In addition, you must:
- Be fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Have excellent oral and written skills in English.
- Have experience interviewing children who are or have been seriously ill.
- Have experience independently conducting qualitative studies.
- Have a good ability to write academic texts.
Additional Merits
Documented knowledge of medical ethics and experience working with Nvivo is an advantage.
We are looking for a person who is:
- Meticulous and quality-conscious.
- Structured and results-oriented, with the ability to plan and prioritize effectively.
- Proactive and drives work forward.
- Collaborative but also self-driven and responsible.
