As a substitute teacher in a special needs school through Humly, you will have a meaningful and developing assignment where you support students with various disabilities in their school life.

About the position

You will work as a substitute in schools with adapted teaching within the Gothenburg region. This may involve supporting individual students, helping in the classroom, or providing extra support during breaks and activities. You choose your assignments through Humly's app and can work anywhere from a few hours a week to longer substitute positions.

Requirements – what you need to bring:

• At least 1 year of experience working with children or youth
• Good knowledge of Swedish – approved in Swedish as a second language 3 (SVA3)
• Residing in or near Gothenburg, with the ability to travel to schools in the city

We are looking for someone who:

• Is confident, empathetic, and has great patience
• Has a good understanding of different disabilities and how to respond
• Is responsible and punctual
• Communicates clearly with students, teachers, and guardians
• Can create structure and security in the classroom

Meritorious:

• Experience working in a special needs school
• Knowledge of low-arousal approaches and alternative communication
• Education in pedagogy, child and youth work, or special education

Working hours:

• Weekdays, usually between 08:00–17:00

Salary:

• We apply individual salary setting based on previous experience and education, the range is 115–140 SEK/hour + vacation pay
