Solna Enskilda Skola is a small primary school that works to ensure that every student succeeds based on their individual circumstances. We take shared responsibility for the students' knowledge development, and it is important to us that we have joy in learning in a safe and inspiring environment. At our school, we always strive to find new paths to learning and development.

We are now looking for a part-time counselor who always puts the students' best interests first and can be the voice of the student. The position is for 5 hours a week or 10 hours every other week. The working hours include time for documentation. We prefer that you have a relevant degree from a college/university, such as a social worker or behavioral scientist.

As a counselor, you will work closely with the school's student health team and be an engaged and curious person with a focus on the students' development and goal fulfillment.

Job Description

· Contribute to school development by working at the organizational, group, and individual levels for the overall development of learning environments that meet all students.

· Always consider the best interests of children and students in accordance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

· Conduct school social mapping/investigation of individual students (e.g., in cases of problematic school absenteeism or school form investigations).

· Assist in ensuring that all students develop as far as possible towards the educational goals, both academically and socially and emotionally, in an environment that promotes learning.

· Pay attention to students who are at risk, students in socially vulnerable situations, and students showing signs of mental health issues.

· Mandatory reporting in case of suspicion of children at risk, according to SoL 2001:453, chapter 14.

· Work/collaborate with the student health team at the school and contribute your expertise within the profession.

· Together with other professionals in student health, assist in ensuring that students in need of special support have their needs comprehensively mapped and assessed.

· Contribute to ensuring that students in need of special support for their social and emotional development receive adequate interventions at school.

· Conduct support conversations with individual students and in group discussions.

· Implement activities in groups and in class.

· Document student cases within the framework of documentation obligations.

· Contribute to the school working health-promoting and preventive against mental health issues, bullying, harassment, discrimination, and abuse.

· Contribute to the school having crisis and disaster preparedness.

· Apply the school's values and visions in your work through a good understanding of them.
