Your Responsibilities

Norrköping's city center is undergoing significant and exciting changes, with large parts of the city being transformed. The development of the city greatly impacts its residents and the businesses operating here. You will participate in many projects primarily related to the reconstruction of the city's streets and surrounding functions.

As a traffic planner with us, you will work on both strategic and operational traffic issues and actively participate in various projects – from early investigations to implementation and follow-up. You will contribute traffic expertise to ensure good accessibility, traffic safety, and functionality during both construction and completed facilities.

As a traffic planner, you will develop traffic and mobility investigations and analyze traffic flows, capacity, and traffic safety. You will design and assess traffic solutions for different modes of transport, participate in projects and construction phases. You will collaborate with other departments, project managers, contractors, authorities, and external stakeholders. The work also includes preparing materials for political decisions.

The work is service-oriented, which involves close and active collaboration with residents, business owners, various parts of the municipality, and other authorities. You will work closely with colleagues who are traffic engineers, traffic planners, and street engineers.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with at least a three-year academic education in logistics or urban planning or another higher education that the employer deems equivalent.

You have experience in relevant areas of traffic planning and transport systems, and it is advantageous if you have worked with traffic simulation in tools such as Vissim or similar. Experience from project and construction phases as well as from municipal operations or land and construction work is also seen as a benefit.

As a traffic planner, you adapt your working methods to changing conditions, take responsibility for and drive your tasks independently, and collaborate well with colleagues and external stakeholders. You analyze traffic issues in a structured manner, weigh different options against each other, and make well-founded decisions with clear justifications.

The role requires you to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and have a B driver's license.
