What does the job of a housing supporter at Frösunda involve?

As a housing supporter, you work at one of our homes to support, motivate, and stimulate the individual's own ability to perform activities in daily life. You work to provide each customer with individually tailored support that helps them create structure, routines, and planning in their everyday life.

The housing support is granted for individuals with various types of disabilities, so it is the individuals' skills, needs, and development that guide our efforts. The goal is to create conditions for an active and meaningful life in a safe and pleasant environment.

The tasks of a housing supporter include documentation, the establishment of implementation plans, and case management.

Examples of tasks:

• Daily chores such as cleaning, shopping, cooking, making beds

• Documentation and reporting

• Excursions, walks, training, and activities

• Personal care such as hygiene, showering, toilet visits, support, social presence

• Support and motivate the customer for increased independence in their daily life

The working hours are arranged according to the customers' needs and vary between day, evening, and night, both weekdays and weekends.

The Bergstigsvägen group home in Upplands Väsby caters to young people and adults within person group 1. We have special competence and experience with this group in combination with psychosocial issues.

Bergstigsvägen is located in a residential area in Upplands Väsby, north of Stockholm. There is close proximity to public transport and pleasant outdoor areas. If you want to travel further, the home has its own car that is used for excursions, for example.

The building is originally a large villa on a forest plot that has been renovated and adapted. It includes five fully equipped apartments and common areas for social interaction. The apartments consist of four 2-room apartments and one 1-room apartment, each with a kitchenette and shower/toilet. There is also a large shared terrace that we use for grilling during the summer.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with a big heart and a desire to make a difference. We prefer that you enjoy working with people and have a strong sense of service. You should also be able to collaborate easily with others and have the ability to be flexible and attentive when needed.

• We prefer that you are a nursing assistant or educated in psychiatry or have another equivalent education.

• Previous experience working with LSS, psychiatry, and care experience is strongly meritorious.

• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required.

• We prefer that you have good physical ability.

Employment form: Permanent

Extent: 85%

Start date: Immediately

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Before a possible employment, you must be able to present a criminal record extract. You also need to be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EES or a valid work permit.
