Do you want a meaningful part-time job where you make a real difference – while also enjoying a workplace filled with warmth, humor, and openness?

We are now looking for a part-time personal assistant (38.75%) for a man living in Gällivare.

We are thorough in every recruitment – but for this particular assistance group, we are looking for something extra. We are searching for the right person, and we will continue until we find our next star.

Is it you?

Who is Familjen?

Familjen is a safe and committed employer with over fifteen years of experience in personal assistance for children, youth, and adults with disabilities. We work person-centered, which means that every individual – whether you are an assistant, a relative, or receiving assistance – should feel seen, respected, and acknowledged in our operations.

We are called Familjen for a simple reason: we believe that personal assistance works best when it is based on trust, safety, and close collaboration. For us, assistance is not just about schedules, hours, and administration – but about people, relationships, and a daily life that works.

The name Familjen represents our ambition to create an environment where both clients, relatives, and assistants feel included, cared for, and safe. We work with personal commitment and a clear goal: to build stable workgroups, create long-term relationships, and offer assistance where the individual is always at the center.

We also collaborate with our own employers in personal assistance and provide smooth solutions for payroll management and administration that simplify work and free up time for what is important.

We operate and have assistance groups all over Sweden, from north to south, but our office is located in Täby, just outside Stockholm.

An extra strength

The company's founder and owner has worked as a personal assistant himself. This gives us an extra understanding of the profession and the daily life in assistance – and is an important strength in our work to create safe workgroups and deliver person-centered assistance of high quality.

About the workplace

I am a man who uses a wheelchair and need support in my daily life. As my assistant, you will help me with daily tasks – but the job is also about companionship, safety, and creating a functioning and pleasant everyday life together. You will also support me during regular rehabilitation training and training visits.

I enjoy:

  • baking and preparing delicious snacks
  • painting and being creative
  • spending time with my grandchildren
  • being outdoors when the weather and my condition allow
  • having a coffee at home in peace and quiet – or at a café in town

I like to follow the news and appreciate conversations about what is happening in the world. I also enjoy trying new things – so if you have ideas and energy, feel free to take me along on both everyday adventures and a little bit of fun!

There are also younger children in the home, and we have a home where it is easy to feel welcome.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is cheerful, social, and enjoys working closely with people. Humor is important here – we appreciate you who have a twinkle in your eye and can contribute to a light-hearted and safe atmosphere.

You will, of course, receive a proper introduction and learn the routines at the beginning, but we hope that you will then be:

  • self-sufficient and proactive
  • responsible and secure
  • curious and solution-oriented
  • a team player who understands that teamwork is essential

A wish is that you are a newly retired happy person, but of course, you can be younger – and it doesn't matter if you are a man or a woman. The most important thing is the chemistry between us.

Do you feel that you want to help create a qualitative, safe, and meaningful everyday life for someone else? Then you should apply for the position.

About the employment

The position is a fixed part-time schedule (38.75%) and includes:

  • Every other weekend (Fri–Sun)
  • from 08:00 to 12:30 and 16:30 to 21:00
  • Every other week on Thursday mornings
  • from 08:00 to 12:00

There is also the possibility of more hours during vacations and other absences.

We want to fill the position immediately, so do not wait to apply. Interviews are ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

Requirements

  • You need to speak and understand Swedish fluently, as the job requires clear communication.
  • Since there are children in the home, you need to submit a current extract from the criminal record (max 2 months old). The extract is ordered digitally via the Police's website and then sent to us.
