ABOUT THE POSITION
Bättre Assistans is part of Inre Kraft and we are looking for someone who wants to work as a substitute already now + work on a temporary basis during the summer with our client on Sävastön in Boden.
The working hours are scheduled as day shifts starting at 08:00-08:00, of which 8 hours are on-call. The work is scheduled both weekdays and weekends. We hope that you who are applying for the substitute position have some availability to work during parts of the summer, but this is not a requirement.
Start date is according to agreement, and we would like to see that you can begin the introduction as soon as possible.
ABOUT THE CLIENT
You will be working with a man in his 30s who lives in his own apartment on Sävastön. He has autism, multiple sclerosis (MS), and an intellectual disability, and therefore needs your help as an assistant to live a meaningful life based on his needs and wishes. The client appreciates structure, clarity, and a calm approach. In his free time, he enjoys listening to music, playing video games, following his favorite characters, and going for walks. As a personal assistant, you will be an important part of his daily life and contribute to both community and quality of life.
The tasks include:
Support in daily routines and household chores
Assistance with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, and training
Transfers using aids such as ceiling lifts, manual wheelchairs, and electric wheelchairs.
Use of communication aids such as written schedules and social stories, etc.

To provide the right support for the client's physical needs, you need to have the ability to create contact and communicate in a responsive way.
We see that you are clear in your communication and have a low-arousal approach in your interactions with the client. It is important that you can contribute to safety and structure, as the client needs predictability in his daily life.
We also appreciate that you have a sense of humor and a playful side - being able to joke and have fun together will be a valuable part of the relationship once you get to know each other.

REQUIREMENTS
Experience in care
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working as a personal assistant
Care education or equivalent
Experience in nursing
Familiarity with transfers and the use of lifting and transfer aids
Knowledge and experience working with autism, MS, or intellectual disabilities
Employment rate: 1-2 substitutes
Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other compensations in accordance with collective agreements.

From March 1, 2026, new regulations will apply, meaning that the background check will include both an extract from the criminal record and an extract from the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Please note that processing times may vary, so orders should be placed in good time.
