ABOUT THE POSITION

Bättre Assistans is part of Inre Kraft, and we are now looking for 4 individuals who want to work as personal assistants during the summer of 2026 for our client in Gammelstad.

The working hours are as follows:

  • 07:00 AM - 06:00 PM (1 hour waiting time)

  • 06:00 PM - 07:00 AM (3 hours waiting time)

Start date is according to agreement, and we would like you to begin the introduction immediately.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client is an active man in his late 20s with many interests, including cycling, inline skating, walking, watching movies, playing computer games, crafting, and swimming. He has autism and an intellectual disability and needs support in his daily life to live as independently and meaningfully as possible.

Job responsibilities:

  • Support in daily routines and household chores

  • Assistance with personal hygiene

  • Guidance and communication using visual aids and other AAC tools (alternative and augmentative communication)

ARE YOU THE ONE WE'RE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with people and has the ability to understand and analyze others' needs. You are a calm, stable person who can maintain focus even in challenging situations. You communicate clearly, have a pedagogical and respectful way of setting boundaries, and can meet others with a low-arousal approach. Our client also appreciates if you have an active side - it is a big plus if you can ride a tandem bike, inline skate, and ride a scooter with him.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to swim and tolerate chlorinated water

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working as a personal assistant

  • Knowledge and experience working with individuals with autism

Employment rate: Summer temp

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other compensations in accordance with collective agreements.

To be employed with us at Bättre Assistans, you need to have a BankID and agree to use your BankID in the service. You can easily download a personal certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency's website. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

If you are going to work with children and young people under 18, you must present an extract from the criminal record. From March 1, 2026, new regulations will apply, meaning that the background check will include both extracts from the criminal record and extracts from the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Please note that processing times may vary, so ordering should be done in good time.
