Hello! Are you our new colleague at Fjälldalens Preschool?

Fjälldalens Preschool is a preschool with six departments where nature and the mountains are close by, and where you as an educator have a unique opportunity to be involved in shaping the preschool of the future.

The preschool opened in January 2025, and we are now looking for someone who wants to join a wonderful team of colleagues and build a long-term operation at the preschool.

In preschool, we meet our children in their first education and in their first steps in lifelong learning, where you as an educator are important.

Job Responsibilities

The preschool's curriculum (Lpfö18) describes the preschool's values and mission and contains goals and guidelines for work in preschool. The children in preschool should receive a safe education where care, development, and learning form a whole.

The work involves you, together with the team, designing a safe and developing education for the children at the preschool. The work is challenging, exciting, creative, and takes place in close collaboration with your team and colleagues at the preschool.

You are part of a team and participate in planning, implementation, and evaluation of the education offered to the children. You collaborate with the team, and together you provide the children with a fun and educational experience.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is interested in working in preschool.

It is important:

-      that you are familiar with our governing document, the Curriculum for Preschool (Lpfö18),

-      that you are a confident and clear leader, have an easy time taking initiative, are positive, and have faith in children's various competencies,

-      that you care about building trusting relationships with children and guardians, and that you have good collaboration skills,

-      that you use pedagogical conversations and pedagogical documentation in your work,

-      that you use visual support and TAKK (sign language as alternative and complementary communication),

-      that you are interested in developing preschool.

Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a prerequisite for the position. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and suitability.

Within the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sámi, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.

Working Hours/Duration

100% temporary position until June 26, 2026, with the possibility of extension.
