We look forward to your application!

Foster Home Team

The Foster Home Team consists of two working groups that collaborate closely, the foster home group and the placement group. We are looking for a social worker for each working group. The common goal of the Foster Home Team is: “All children who are permanently placed in foster homes receive quality-assured care based on the child's best interests.”

Responsibilities of the social worker in the foster home group

The responsibilities mainly consist of recruiting, investigating, and supporting/guiding contractors, as well as matching the right contractors to the specific needs of individual children. Contractors can include foster homes and contact families. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the child's caseworker. We offer you access to external supervision and continuous professional development as needed.

Employment type: Temporary position until 2027-05-31 with the possibility of extension, full-time (100%)

Working hours: Daytime, Monday-Friday

Start date: By agreement

Responsibilities of the social worker in the placement group

As a social worker in the placement group, you are responsible for placed children and the handling of their cases. The responsibilities include investigating, assessing, and analyzing the child's needs and rights, as well as ensuring that the care is of good quality. Follow up on the situation of placed children through regular conversations with the child, guardians, foster homes, and other important actors. We strive to establish good relationships and a high degree of participation for all parties.

Qualifications

You are a qualified social worker (or have another university or college education that the employer assesses as equivalent). We prefer that you have experience in public authority work and BBIC/IBIC/Signs of Safety, as well as motivational and change work.

Since the work involves documentation, it is important that you can express yourself well in both speech and writing. As a person, you have the ability to meet citizens based on their circumstances. You are also stable, self-driven, and structured. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

A valid driver's license is required.

We are looking for someone who is committed, attentive, and has the child's best interests in focus. You are confident in yourself, can make decisions even in pressured situations, and are prepared to stand by them. Your empathy is combined with clarity, precision, and the ability to reflect.

As a social worker in Support for Children and Families, it is natural for you to actively seek and maintain collaboration with other actors, both internally and externally.
