About the role

As a preschool assistant in our preschools, you are an important part of the team responsible for creating a safe and educational environment where children can develop and explore their world. You work closely with children, colleagues, and guardians to ensure that each child receives individualized and stimulating support in their development.

Your tasks

• Participate in and plan educational activities and games tailored to the children's age and needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a structured and inspiring environment for the children.
• Promote the children's social, emotional, and physical development through creative methods.
• Maintain an open dialogue with guardians and ensure good collaboration.
• Contribute to the systematic quality work at the preschool.

Qualifications and qualities

• Education as a preschool assistant, or other education/experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• Interest in children's learning and development as well as a pedagogical approach.
• Ability to collaborate in a team and create good relationships with children and adults.
• Flexibility, sense of responsibility, and ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of Sámi language and culture is an advantage.
